Ice House Radio is a community radio station broadcasting live from Houston, Texas.
We exist to document and share the music of southern culture — past, present, and evolving.
Our roster of over 100 resident DJs spans the full breadth of what that means: cumbia, chopped and screwed, southern club, zydeco, dark wave, left-field house, techno, and everything in between. Houston's musical identity is one of the most singular and underrepresented in the world, and we think that's worth fixing.
We broadcast live to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 6–11pm CDT (sometimes later for an out of town guest!), and maintain a growing archive of thousands of hours of recorded sets -
a living document of southern music culture in the making.
